Life Sciences
On 29-30 June, our firm had the honour and pleasure of hosting the annual Summer Event of the prestigious Conference Bleue, association that brings together the most important European law firms in the LifeSciences sector.
Two days of social and business events where around 60 lawyers, including in-house lawyers from major pharmaceutical companies, discussed and explored some of the hottest Eropean current life sciences topics.
While the 29th of June was dedicated to social events (including a wonderful guided visit to Accademia di Brera museum), on June 30th we kicked off our working session with a moving overview of the current situation in Ukraine and of how such a situation changed the life sciences regulatory landscape, we then discussed the off-label use of medicines in Italy, the latest updates on the state of the Sunshine Act in Europe, the advanced therapies landscape and what are the challenges and possible future developments, the implementation of the new European regulations on medical devices and in-vitro medical devices as well as their interfaces with the pharmaceutical sectors and with an overview of the relationship between the pharmaceutical sector and antitrust policies. We closed the day with an overview of the new unitary patent system and the recent news of the designation of Milan as a central division.
The Conference Bleue events are a privileged observatory on the developments and trends of the life sciences legal framework at both EU and county level.
We’re looking forward to our next session in Brussels in autumn!
